Message From The President 

From its modest beginnings in 1984, the Madeira Schools Foundation has a proud heritage of supporting the excellence of Madeira City Schools and as the incoming President, I'm proud to carry on that tradition.

This year is especially exciting as we will see the successful completion of Phase I of the Madeira Stadium Renovation Project (MSRP - www.madeirastadium.com) in August 2007. While we're certainly proud to have successfully undertaken one of the largest fundraising efforts in the community's history, we still face the challenge of funding and completing Phase II which will really give the community of Madeira a first class athletic complex on par with the quality of the rest of Madeira.

We are also looking forward to another fantastic evening at the annual MSF Auction to be held  March 7, 2009. The past three years have been record-breaking in both attendance and funds we've been able to raise. Get your tickets early and as you're bidding, just keep telling yourself - "it's for the kids!"

Finally, I'm personally very excited about the challenge of creating more awareness of how the Madeira Schools Foundation has been able to raise nearly $2 million to help the schools over the past 20+ years and the countless hours of time the Directors and volunteers give of themselves to help our community. Just as importantly, I think it's important for the community at large to be aware of how everyone can help us make a difference.

I truly appreciate the opportunity I've been given and look forward to another very rewarding year with the Madeira Schools Foundation.
