- Daily Participation
Students will be given points for their daily class participation. Approximately every three weeks students will receive feedback and grades will be posted on Progressbook. In order to earn a high participation grade students should stay on-task, maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, work constructively with partners during pair and groups activities, know translations and make a positive effort to figure things out, bring all materials to class each day, and speak Spanish.

- Tests and Quizzes
Students should expect a test or quiz every 1 - 3 weeks depending on the material we cover. Tests and quizzes can include speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. Students are expected to spell all vocabulary correctly (including accent marks!), use complete sentences and implement proper grammar. Tests and quizzes will focus on the vocabulary and grammar from the current chapter, but can also include material previously covered. Therefore, it is important to continuously practice and review!

- Daily Assignments
Students should expect a written homework assignment 3 - 5 nights a week. This assignment is almost always activities from the student Cuaderno (workbook) or a worksheet that students are given in class. Please check Progressbook for a brief description of the worksheet.
On the nights students do not have a written assignment, they should study their vocabulary list and notes (grammar). It is recommended that students make and practice flashcards at home. There are also links posted on the Edmodo group page that students should find useful.
