Madeira City Schools Athletic Department is currently searching for the coaching candidates with the following qualities:

*A coach with the ability to act with purpose and expect the same from his/her players.

*A coach who understands that relationships matter.

*A coach who is willing to challenge not only the players, but also his/her staff, while putting a support mechanism in place.

*  A coach who has the creativity to find opportunities for his/her players to explore, take risks and grow as a player.

 

Qualified Candidates will be required to hold/obtain the following:

-Successfully pass a BCII/FBI background check

-Complete the requirements for a Coaching Permit from the Ohio Department of Education

Speech-Language Pathologist

Madeira City Schools is looking for a full time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2023-2024 school year.  This position will work with middle and high school students.  SLP candidates would be expected to provide screening, diagnostic assessments, and interventions to students.  Qualified candidates will develop and deliver specially designed instruction utilizing research based therapeutic interventions. The SLP will be expected to collaborate with teams to support student progress against instructional objectives and will collaborate as IEP case manager or related service provider.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  To be qualified for this position, applicants must possess:

  • Master’s degree or higher;

  • Speech-Language Pathology license by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board;

  • Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services/School Speech-Language Pathologist License;

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred;

  • State and Federal Background checks free of infractions as required by Ohio law and Board Policy;

Madeira Elementary Library Media Aide

Madeira Elementary is seeking to fill an opening for a Library Media Aide. 
The Media Aide performs the following:

  • Helps students and staff with locating library materials. Assists students with finding good-fit books appropriate to reading level. Pulls items as requested by teachers.
  • Facilitates book circulation including checking out books.
  • Handles checking in and shelving library books on a daily basis.
  • Assists with library collection management including copy cataloging, processing new materials, book repair, and weeding. Distributes overdue notices, and helps process damaged book fees.
  • Creates unique holiday book displays.
  • Helps with additional duties such as lunch and recess duty.

The Media Aide schedule is Monday-Friday from 9:00-3:00.

Long Term Substitute-Madeira Middle School

Long Term Substitute-Preschool

Madeira City Schools is in need of a long term substitute preschool general education teacher for the spring of 2023 (March 9-May 26). This position works with children ages 3-5 in a morning and afternoon classroom.  Hours are 8:30 - 4:00 Monday through Friday.

 

Interested applicants should:

  • Hold a current substitute teaching certificate or a current PS-3 teaching license. 
  • Have evidence of positive communication / collaboration skills with children, parents and school staff
  • Demonstrate a commitment to valuing diversity
  • Provide appropriate required legal and medical documentation.
  • Complete on-line orientation training through the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (OCCRRA) within 30 days of the individuals start date
