Madeira City Schools is in need of a Middle School Art long-term substitute teacher. Estimated start date would be December 13, 2021 through May 2, 2022.

High School Long Term Substitute - Social Studies 

Madeira City Schools is in need of a High School Social Studies long-term substitute teacher for November and December 2021. Preference will be given to candidates that have the following qualifications:

  • High school teaching licensure and certification in Social Studies.

  • Prior teaching experience in related areas - preferably Economics.

  • Ability to develop and organize curriculum within the teaching area.

  • Evidence of positive communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and school staff.

  • Evidence of a standards-based approach to instruction.

*A coach with the ability to act with purpose and expect the same from his/her players.

*A coach who understands that relationships matter.

*A coach who is willing to challenge not only the players, but also his/her staff, while putting a support mechanism in place.

*  A coach who has the creativity to find opportunities for his/her players to explore, take risks and grow as a player.

Qualified Candidates will be required to hold/obtain the following:

-Successfully pass a BCII/FBI background check

-Complete the requirements for a Coaching Permit from the Ohio Department of Education
