Madeira High School Commencement (Revised Date)
Saturday, August 1 - 7:30 pm (If state-wide restrictions are lifted prior to July 27)
Rain Date: Sunday, August 2 - 7:30 pm

An alternate date will ONLY occur if “mass gathering” CDC guidelines are lifted that would safely allow the gathering of our school community.  This ceremony would likely include traditional graduation elements but may not include all (choirs, bands, etc.) due to timing, practicing components, etc.  Traditional songs/music may only be through pre-recordings. Seniors will receive their diplomas. This could be a limited ticket event.  Details and safety considerations will be shared as we get closer to this date.  There would not be an opportunity to extend a formal graduation ceremony past the August 1 date and NO extension of a commencement ceremony would be attempted.  If we are unable to conduct an in-person ceremony in a safe manner and within all guidelines, we will proceed with an alternate virtual commencement ceremony.  If the reason for going to the virtual ceremony is because of restriction bans, the virtual ceremony would be provided on August 1.  If there were two rainouts on both Saturday and Sunday, the virtual ceremony would be provided on August 2.

Alternate Virtual Madeira High School Commencement Ceremony
Saturday, August 1 - 7:30 pm (if restrictions prohibit a live ceremony)
Sunday, August 2  - 7:30 pm (if rainouts cancel Saturday and Sunday live ceremonies)
Live Video Streaming Event

This virtual ceremony will include welcomes by the administration, Valedictorian and Salutatorian speeches, a pre-recorded roll call of students walking across the stage as well as Senior Porch Pics.  An official turning of the tassel will conclude this memorable and unique program. Diplomas will be mailed.
