Madeira High School announces the hiring of Whit Wilcox as the new Head Coach of the Boys Tennis program. A Madeira community member, Coach Wilcox brings extensive high-level playing experience along with years of coaching, instruction, and athlete development.

Coach Wilcox was a top-ranked junior player in New England and competed at #1 singles in both high school and college. His competitive background provides valuable perspective, but his passion lies in coaching and developing players.

He has served as a tennis professional and instructor for many years, including work at Fairfield University Tennis Camp and multiple country clubs in Fairfield County such as Wee Burn, Woodway, and New Canaan Country Club in Connecticut. In addition to private instruction, he founded and operated a coaching and personal training business, helping athletes improve technically, physically, and mentally.

Coach Wilcox is a graduate of Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut and has built a successful professional career in business leadership while remaining closely connected to the sport. His experience, discipline, and commitment to development will be strong assets to the Madeira Boys Tennis program.

Madeira High School looks forward to the leadership and energy Coach Wilcox will bring to the program. School Board approval for the coach is scheduled for February 24.
