Technology
Madeira City Schools leverages instructional technology to equip students and staff with tools to create personalized, engaging and effective learning opportunities. Our classrooms in grades K-4 are provided a set of chromebooks and an interactive display. Beginning in grade 5, our students are issued chromebooks that they are able to transport between home and school. We are aware that screen time during the instructional day must carefully evaluated. While technology provides many useful tools, it will never replace personal interactions or tangible learning. Our students are required to annually agree to our acceptable use policy, and our school networks are filtered and monitored by multiple tools. Madeira Schools belongs to the Student Data Privacy Consortium, and is compliant with the student data privacy provisions contained in HB 96.
