Each Monday, five high frequency words and a word sort will be sent home. .  Each word sort works on different spelling patterns.  Use the sorts to practice each pattern and  cooresponding words.  

On Friday a quiz will be given containly the five high frequency words, plus ten of the words from the word sort.  Students will write down the patterns on their papers such as the following:   long a, short a, oddballs, (words that do not follow the pattern).  As the word sort words are given, students will write the words under the cooresponding pattern.
